Fall 2011 Mentoring Goal
To analyze research regarding best practices in undergraduate peer mentoring in order to create a self assessment tool for graduate mentors.
Goal 1
I will attend a Portland State Library presentation regarding effective researching practices at the graduate level.
I completed a session regarding effective research methods led by Robert Schroeder, the Subject Librarian for the Counselor Education Department, on October 12, 2011.

Goal 2
I will use effective researching methods to find at least two peer- reviewed journal articles which pertain to best practices in undergraduate peer mentoring.

I will compile information from these articles into a self assessment tool featuring empirically supported best practices for mentors in the University Studies program.
